There would be a structural shift in global economic order after the global financial crisis.
New opportunities will explode in the next ten years, and nations will compete fiercely to seize
next big opportunities.
The Korean government uncovered Sejong City development plan last January to take a proactive
stance towards this new global paradigm and build “education and science-focused economic
city.” It will attract high and green value-added opportunities and promote collaborative
development of Chungcheong region and the national territory.
KRIHS is hosting an international symposium to explore the future paradigm of Sejong City with
distinguished scholars at home and abroad. I hope this would serve as a venue for exchanging
valuable knowledge and experiences on diverse and relevant case studies. I cordially invite you to
join us and honor us with your presence. Thank you very much.
